SW Build designs, supplies and installs screeding for residential and commercial projects. We help establish a specification that suits the existing substrate, required floor level, final covering and construction programme.
Traditional sand and cement screeds. A practical option for many floor build-ups, with the mix, thickness and installation method selected for the project.
Liquid screeds and levelling compounds. These can suit appropriate floor and underfloor-heating applications. Product selection matters: flowing or quick-setting does not automatically mean ready for a moisture-sensitive floor covering.
Quick-drying screeds and roof levelling. Where the programme is tight, a specified quick-drying system can reduce the wait between trades. Drying conditions and the next system’s requirements must still be checked.

Getting the substrate and programme right
We consider preparation, bonding requirements, finished levels, joints and interfaces before installation. Where underfloor heating is involved, the screed specification and heating arrangements need to be coordinated.
Readiness for tiles, timber, vinyl or an adhered roofing system depends on the specified product and covering. We discuss curing, drying and the required moisture checks so the next trade can plan around the installation.

Project: 1,000+ m² of roof screeding in Newbury
For a major housebuilder beside Newbury Racecourse, SW Build is delivering the design, supply and installation of a bonded levelling screed ahead of a fully adhered Alumasc roofing system.
The first phase covers more than 1,000 m². TALVUDO Xtreme quick-drying additive was selected to support a 48-hour turnaround before moisture-sensitive finishes, subject to the specified mix, site conditions and confirmation of the roofing system’s moisture requirements.
